Eco-Responsible Cleaners for a Sustainable Future 

How The Journey Begins 

The journey starts with a late night conversation between the founders, sparked by an incident where Mr.somesh spilled a toxic toilet cleaner, leaving a 7X2.5-inch scar on his right leg as a poignant reminder. That day in February 2017, they pledged to create a leading eco responsible brand in the Home Wellness Industry. 

Background of our Founders 

Our Founder Mr. Somesh, born in a middle class elite family in Varanasi and educated from BHU. His father Late. Devi Prasad Rastogi (Jeweller) was his biggest mentor from whom he learned to remain steadfast and move forward in every moment of life. 

Since childhood, he has been very fond of the naturalistic ideology of Sanatan culture and Mother Ganga. But when he saw and tolerated the continuous expansion of pollution, he always felt it was annoying. One thought remained in his mind that whenever he got an opportunity, he would definitely do something so that Mother Ganga and his motherland could get proper justice. 

There was also a desire to do something new, so after studies, he started running a consultancy in Lucknow and also started working in his family business. But during a major effort to build a brand, a massive heart attack in 2011 changed the course of his life. The entire business was destroyed by a team of associates. 

Despite the loss of life’s earnings, to redirect his mind towards his goal, despite his deteriorating health, he started a small business to earn a living. The most surprising thing here was that this time, apart from him, he included only one person in his team to train.The second member he took on was his little 10-year-old only son, Shreet. He completed his Schooling while learning important business skills in spare hours. This made Shreet  independent in his thinking, and after knowing his willingness thereafter, just 4 years before Mr.Shreet graduated, the father-son duo Started the necessary research work for the establishment of ‘Green Life Forever’.

Despite all odds, by the end of 2023, the concept of a most eco responsible product brand ‘ Green Life Forever®’ has become the reality for the whole world.

Research Begins

Market Research

We, the founders, started with the analysis of products in the market and the consumer’s behavior. We noticed general consumer buying products biased on his pocket economics, and typical consumer buying products biased on reputable brands and attractive packaging.

One more element associated with this was missing i.e; The safety and the efficacy of the product. If the convenor of the brand preferably an advertisement celebrity has succeeded to make a praise bridge, the product is accepted among the consumers. 

On inspecting the markets we realized they were filled with most of MNCs Brands. They’ve strategy to lucrate consumers with their massive Advertisement Campaigns and their cheap prices due to their economies of scale. And this behavior has changed the mindset of Indian consumers so far who believed them rather they have full faith in them. Consumers never asked for important information like list of ingredients, chemicals of concern, to check the product’s safety and efficacy. Whereas the Government also failed to check these parameters due to influence of MNC’s and in the rampant of running a circular economy. 

In our journey of development of our brand till 2023, we found inculcation of a strong online marketing culture. Where marketeers develop their fashionable content based brands as eco friendly brands who took the initiative to provide either biased information regarding ingredients and efficacy or forward the false information supplied by their contract manufacturers. Sometimes even they don’t know, but rather couldn’t check the pollutants packed in their desired jackets. Thus, in this indulging rat race they forget or averted two important things:

  1. To research regarding product design and development.
  2. Self production practice (most of them get their goods private labeled).

In this context how can they claim quality control? Only the Unicorn Race hailed in their work, not consumer wellness. Thus the magical word contents for propaganda is now used to lucrate the consumer.

Product Research & Development 

We came to the realization that creating safe home wellness products required us to become masters in chemistry, herbology, green chemistry, and formulation. Over five years, we delved into thorough studies and applied research, with a firm dedication to advancing the home wellness product industry. Our priority was incorporating natural and organic ingredients while adhering to green chemistry principles, eliminating toxic Phthalates, carcinogens, harmful preservatives and other ‘Chemicals of Concern’ from our formulations.

At each step, we harnessed the insights from our research to develop niche technologies and exceptional products with unique benefits. Our ultimate goal was to craft home wellness products that not only serve as daily essentials but also benefit society at large. We meticulously designed and refined our range of products, initially sharing them with loved ones and friends, receiving valuable feedback from those who used them.

Witnessing the positive impact of our creations on the people we knew, we humbly named them Home Wellness Products. Driven by our mission to contribute to the betterment of society and the planet, we transitioned to mass production.

Validation and Recognitions

In the year 2021, Co-founder Mr.Shreet Rastogi bagged a cash prize at IDEATE the First ever Business Plan Competition held in Lucknow University Campus organized by LUMBA in Lucknow University’s glorious 100 year history.

This victory served as validation for our concept of creating the safest Home Wellness Products and also led to recognition in the Favorite Selling Products category.

We participated in a prestigious event jointly orchestrated by STARTUP INDIA & Schulich School of Business, Canada named – ‘TOGETHER 2023’. The Father Son duo led Team ‘GREEN LIFE FOREVER’ was successfully selected in the top 100 emerging startups among over 3000 participating teams. 

During the third round, our venture received accolades from esteemed judges. However, due to some challenges related to traction and not having initiated our sales journey, we were unable to progress further in the competition.

This journey offered us a unique opportunity to showcase our ideas, garner recognition, and glean valuable insights from esteemed industry experts. These victories also served as validation for our concept of creating the safest Home Wellness Products in the field of Green Technologies. It’s a chapter of positive learning, poised to significantly contribute to our future growth and development.

Smiling Moments during Covid-19 

At this moment of time where all socio-economic activities were shut to an end, we even innovated some small and economical machines for automating our production facilities for self reliance. And by now we had discovered that we are capable of helping other poor enthusiasts in this field with our B2B endeavor in the near future.

Hindrances

Time is precious to us too but we keep our minds close to the Pinnacle of wellness, not only for the user but towards the wellness of the environment as a whole. We kept our brains towards extensive research till we reached the Pinnacle.

While hurdles prevailed in our journey, in 2017 – 2018 Mr.Somesh fragile health was again in a turmoil where he hailed 2 more heart attacks, Medical procedures made them empty pocketed but father was struggling hard to let his family survive and son was struggling hard to accomplish his academics. And we remained unstoppable and tried hard to be invincible.

Once again, when we were about to pick up pace, but just then the world stopped, plagued by Corona (Covid-19) and confined to a lockdown, we perhaps faced the biggest challenge of our journey. We had very little to spend on our living but we kept ourselves in research with a little leftover consumables and ingredients.

Delivering Goodness Begins ..

“Cleanliness begins at home and if eco-friendly it is at its best.” Conventional home wellness products often conceal numerous harmful secrets. However, our products take on a higher level of responsibility as they directly impact the lives of your loved ones, including children, the elderly, and even your pets. We firmly believe that this responsibility extends beyond the home, reaching our water bodies, soil, fields, other creatures and the overall environment.

Our meticulously crafted products are not only 100% safe, but they are also made with bio-renewable plant-derived ingredients, making them Eco Responsible. Once used, our products facilitate the decomposition of various waste materials when disposed of in the sewage system. This, in turn, helps maintain odor-free septic tanks, safeguarding our rivers and ensuring a safe environment. If product’s use waste water in plants soil they maintain the fertility of soil and enhance plant growth too.

Our Products may look the same as others but the novel science of Green chemistry infused with best natural and herbal ingredients is a miraculous addition to our products. 

We have kept our products and production facilities free from toxic and hazardous chemicals such as HCl acid, chlorine bleach, ammonia, parabens, phthalates and other pollutants and carcinogens. 

We have taken proactive measures to minimize our carbon footprint and conduct life cycle cost evaluations. 

We’ve kept minimal use of water in the product and production methodology as well as during the use of the product if used as suggested.

Brief Background: Born in Varanasi. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration 2022, Lucknow University, studied Digital Marketing, Business Analytics & Automation. Preparing for MBA. 7+ years experience of staff, customers and store management. Started Research with father in 2015 in Chemistry for Home & Human wellness and initiating Brand-Green Life Forever in the name & fashion of GLF Consumer Products Private Limited with Founder Somesh Rastogi.

B.com(hons) BHU-1990, DCFA-1994, CEO-Image computer consultancy services 1995-2005 (Software Development, Accounts & Audit services), Family business-Gems & Jewellery 1991-2011. Seasoned entrepreneur, 33+ years experience of success & failures in making ethical business and more focussed on making a Brand despite of his fragile health since the year 2011. Started Research in 2017 in Chemistry for Home & Human wellness and initiated Brand-Green Life Forever in December 2021 in the name & fashion of GLF Consumer Products Private Limited with Co-Founder Shreet Rastogi. Right now he is striving hard to make the “Green Life Forever” one of the most eco-responsible brands in the home-wellness industry.
